Be sure to plan your visit in advance. You can often take advantage of an ‘early bird’ discounted offer on tickets if you book your visitor ticket when the tickets are first released. It is also important to book your travel and accommodation well in advance. Hotels tend to book up very quickly when exhibitions are on – often months before the show even takes place.
Do your research. Make sure you know who is there, who you want to see and what you want to get out of your visit. Many shows have online networking platforms, take advantage of the opportunities that these create to plan your visit in advance. The majority of shows also have a conference programme so ensure you plan any talks you want to listen to into your day.
Find out how to get to the exhibition ground, where you are staying and what the options are to get to and from the airport. Some shows offer a shuttle bus between the exhibition ground and the airport for a small cost.
