The first edition if IE expo Chengdu took place successfully in October 2020, welcoming 17,855 trade visitors and 317 exhibitors. This was despite of the pandemic affecting travel.
IE expo Chengdu is the most recent addition to the IE expo shows and takes place at the Western China International Expo City, Chengdu. The show is part of the IFAT trade fair family. The main show runs biennially in Munich. IFAT is the world’s largest international trade fair for environmental technology.
Following its launch in 2020, IE expo Chengdu quickly established its position as the leading platform for environmental technology in West China.
The event is a key platform for exchange and cooperation in politics, business and research. The show stimulates the innovation vitality of Chengdu’s environmental protection industry, its contribution to overall economic growth and generates development potential.
Like at IFAT, there is a strong supporting programme. A total of twelve expert forums and conferences were held during IE expo Chengdu. The China Environmental Industry Summit Forum 2020 topic was: “Change and Reconstruction”. Experts and participants discussed how using modern environmental technology marks the beginning of a new era in West China.
